Got away from the local stocker streams to avoid the crowds and enjoy a little  peace and quiet.  Headed up to a DHALO stream with the pin rod. Soft plastics under the float continue to be deadly. Nice variety of fish too.  Surprisingly, there were a lot of browns this time with a few brookies and of course the ever present rainbow. The size and quality of the fish was amazing too say the least. Where TU stocks trout, they were all bows averaging 10-14" and were very long and skinny. Farther downstream we started to run into brookies and browns.  They were all fat & healthy. We pulled 2 brookies from a small eddy that most would overlook. One was 5" and the other was 17". Further downstream, we  pulled 2-3 fish out of each hole. We were far from disappointed.
Hit a really nice deep hole and it was necessary to hold the float back. On that drift, a beautiful 24" rainbow came to hand. The first cast in the nexgt deep hold produced the largest brown I have ever hooked. 3 giant leaps clear out of the water and the gentleman who was with me was in shock &  awe  as was I.  The brown put up such a fight,  you may have thought you were on thr Salmon River catching trophy steelhead  rather than an eastern PA trout
